Научно-практическая школа по высокопроизводительному секвенированию – это образовательный проект для специалистов, имеющих опыт работы в области систематики растений, животных и микроорганизмов, а также молодых ученых и аспирантов, планирующих применение методов молекулярной филогенетики в ближайшем будущем.

На школе будут освещены основные аспекты и методологические подходы молекулярной филогенетики, современное состояние этой области знаний в России и за ее пределами.

Слушатели школы познакомятся с методами высокопроизводительного секвенирования и сравнительной геномики. В рамках лекционно-семинарских занятий будут освещены базовые навыки работы в UNIX окружении, язык программирования R и его применение для анализа геномных данных, алгоритмы и программы для полногеномной сборки, а также использование баз данных, в частности NCBI, и поиска в них, в том числе по гомологии средствами BLAST. В процессе работы над реальной задачей участники школы изучат на практике основные технологические этапы приготовления библиотек ДНК, получат навыки анализа геномных данных с применением современного программного обеспечения, а также их использования для конкретных задач молекулярной филогенетики.

Aims&Scope: Role of forces in biology, including: the importance of force in molecular function; the involvement of force mediated by the actin and microtubule cytoskeleton in intracellular mechanics; how cells detect and respond to forces exerted by the microenvironment and neighboring cells; the role of force in physiological processes; and the regulation of cell and tissue mechanics during morphogenetic events in different organisms.

The workshop aims to give biologists practical knowledge and hands-on programming skills in support of high-thoughput phylogenetics, functional genomics, and phyloinformatics, using scripting languages that include Perl, Ruby, and SQL. Instruction is in English and participants are encouraged to bring their own computers.
